Carney Derangement Syndrome has struck again, this time felling National Journal's Ron Fournier, who took to MSNBC's Morning Joe to deliver a measured criticism of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney Friday morning. Carney is taking heat from reporters over his insistence that a recently-released email about then-Ambassador Susan Rice's Sunday show prep was not about Benghazi, but about broader unrest in the Muslim world. Fournier's way of calling the White House's rationale thin was to equate Carney to "Baghdad Bob."
Former CBS News reporter and Dana Loesch award-sharer Sharyl Attkisson has been making the rounds of conservative media to push her nebulous claims of bias at CBS that prompted her exit, and to promote her upcoming book Stonewalled. On Tuesday morning, Attkisson hit an unlikely roadblock on MSNBC's Morning Joe, as co-host Mika Brzezinski sweetly laid waste to Attkisson's liberal media persecution complex.
Recent pro-vaccine convert and co-host of ABC's The View Jenny McCarthy has taken a long, well-deserved beating in these pages for her dangerous campaign of misinformation about vaccines, but if you needed further proof of just how disconnected McCarthy is from reality, check out lat night's The Kelly File. Host Megyn Kelly, who believes in Santa Claus and is certain he's white, and conservative media icon Dana Loesch, who believes that the Second Amendment allows for private ownership of chemical and nuclear weapons, took turns scolding McCarthy for, of all things, ignoring science.
Sharyl Attkisson resigned from CBS today after months of alleging that the many anti-Obama stories she pursued were quashed by her superiors. She claims there's a liberal bias at CBS and she's had enough of it. She's even writing a book about it. Next stop, Fox News.
