Donald Trump was up early Saturday morning thinking hard about what to say to his 43 million Twitter followers. Tired of being lampooned by the media as being an incompetent idiot with potential brain damage, Trump put on his very best writer’s cap and produced a stunningly clever play on words about CNN:
CNN’S slogan is CNN, THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS. Everyone knows this is not true, that this could, in fact, be a fraud on the American Public. There are many outlets that are far more trusted than Fake News CNN. Their slogan should be CNN, THE LEAST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS!

You’ll notice the big, bold caps that help his followers see the points he really wants them to understand — a technique used by all the literary greats. On top of that, the word play is sure to have his fans delirious with excitement that their Dear Leader is not actually an idiot, but a very big boy who can use the best words to make people laugh!
Just think about the possibilities of this type of ingenious syntactical gymnastics: instead of ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN’ (MAGA), one could say ‘MAKE AMERICA NOT GREAT AGAIN’. Or, if one were feeling particularly adventurous, “AMERICA FIRST’ could be changed to ‘AMERICA SECOND’, and Fox’s slogan of “MOST WATCHED, MOST TRUSTED’ could turn into ‘LEAST WATCHED, AND LEAST TRUSTED’!
