It now appears that Graham-Cassidy is officially dead thanks to Sen. John McCain, who bravely stood against his own party and stated unequivocally that he will not vote for the latest Obamare repeal bill. With that being done (which allows the sane to breath a huge collective sigh of relief) it’s time to take pleasure in some well needed schadenfreude.
One of the most powerful voices against the GOP’s latest attempt to take away health care from vulnerable Americans was Jimmy Kimmel, whose baby son was born with a complex heart condition that needed immediate surgery. Kimmel came out swinging against Graham -Cassidy and urged the public and Senate to reject it. Of course Fox News took against a celebrity trashing Trump and the GOP, claiming he wasn’t qualified to talk about health care because he was a “Hollywood elitist”. Fox Host Brian Kilmeade stated that people like Kimmel were “pushing their politics on the rest of the country.”
Speaking of Hollywood celebrities not qualified to talk about politics, Media Matter released this little gem hitting the Fake News Network right where it hurts:
