Kellyanne Conway Comes Back…and Lies About Hillary Clinton

After what appeared to be a timeout for president Trump’s perpetually lying PR flak, Kellyanne Conway returned to the Twittersphere to do what she does best — deflect attention away from herself and Donald Trump, lie, and smear Hillary Clinton.

Conway has been noticeably absent over the past week or so, pulling out of scheduled interviews with Fox News in the wake of the news about the special prosecutor, and issuing a delayed, phony response to the rather stunning revelation on “Morning Joe” that she “loathes” her boss. No one knows whether Conway was reprimanded by Trump for the damaging news, but her future prospects don’t look particularly good.

Conway was back on Twitter today working hard to create new distractions — announcing an upcoming event appearances, Anthony Weiner’s recent guilty plea in the teen sexting case, and the right’s favorite object of maniacal hate, Hillary Clinton. Incapable of presenting anything honestly, Conway tweeted a flagrant lie about a report quoting Joe Biden as saying he did not believe Hillary Clinton was the “correct candidate”. Here was Conway’s tweet:

There was no need to track down any other sources to dismantle this astonishingly blatant lie — the article itself says absolutely nothing about Biden calling Clinton a “deplorable, irredeemable candidate”. According to Fusion’s Hamilton Nolan, who was at the SkyBridge Capital event, Biden stated the following:

I never thought she was the correct candidate. I thought I was the correct candidate.

That was it — nothing more. Yet Kellyanne Conway translated this as a vicious personal attack on Clinton’s integrity from a fellow Democrat. Coming from Conway, this isn’t surprising, but the obviousness of it all is proof that Trump’s stooge is dangerously off her game.

If it is true — and it almost certainly is — that Conway loathes her boss and his nasty politics, then her continued lies and disgusting hit jobs on his behalf make her more culpable of wrongdoing than Trump. Because at least Trump believes his own bullshit. Conway it seems, is just doing it for the money.
