As part of a Reddit AMA over the weekend, Turing Pharmceuticals CEO and major bro Martin Shkreli did his best to defend hiking the price up on lifesaving drug Daraprim by 5500%. Shkreli attempted to appear contrite as Reddit users laid into him in a marathon Q and A session, but unfortunately for the young millionaire, he was unable to contain his douchiness over such a long period of time.
Shkreli did appear human during many of the exchanges, but a back and forth between Shkreli and a Reddit user will unfortunately define what was supposed to be an image rehabilitation:
Reddit user:What have you learned, personally and professionally, from this media incident?
Shkreli: personally: this is the best possible way to get girls professionally: the media is effective at creating and telling a story
Here is the screen shot of the interaction (via TechCrunch):
Shkreli wants you to know he isn’t kidding about his ability to get girls, telling another Reddit user she would have to get in a “very, very long line” if she wanted a date with the capitalist super stud:
Let that be a lesson to all you wannabe stock traders: you might look like a nerd who got took one too many wedgies in high school, but work your way up the ladder in one the most predatory industries in America, be more of a dick than everyone else while screwing people who can’t defend themselves, and you’ll get mad chicks, bro.
Unless this happens to you.
