Black Man in Ohio Gets Pulled Over For Making Eye Contact With Policeman

Being black in Ohio apparently means you can get shot in the head for attempting to drive away from a police officer, or pulled over for the egregious crime of making perceived eye contact with an officer.

John Felton, a former resident of Ohio, was pulled over by Dayton police in front of his mother’s house after apparently activating his turn signal less than 100 feet before making a right turn. Reports CBS:

Felton, formerly an employee of Quicken Loans, gave the cop his license and insurance and then asked why he had followed him turn for turn before pulling him over. Felton said, as a black man, it made him nervous to draw police attention while knowing he was doing nothing wrong.

Why was he really pulled over? “Because you made direct eye contact with me and held on to it while I was passing you,” the officer said.

This actually happened, and Felton has the video to prove it:

A warning to all black men in Ohio – remember to drive with your eyes shut. Or even better, just stop being black and the police will leave you alone.
