Bill O’Reilly Insults Caitlyn Jenner, Then Lies About Gender ‘Situation’ in California

What you get when you put three old white men in a room to talk about gender identity? Answer: a lot of offensive nonsense.

On Bill O’Reilly’s show last night, he brought in known gender identity experts Bernard McGuirk, the executive producer for ‘Imus in the Morning’, and Fox News funnyman Greg Gutfeld to discuss the California university system’s new gender identity questionnaire. “In California, they have a gender identity situation,” said a grinning O’Reilly. “If you go to college, state college, you have six genders from whom to choose [sic]”.

He then played an admittedly silly statement from MSNBC contributor Danielle Moodie-Mills who believes there should be fines for people in the media for ‘misgendering’. Barely able to contain their laughter, the trio laid into Moodie-Mills and ridiculed the notion that people should get to choose their own gender identity. Prominent transgender figure Caitlyn Jenner was up next for humiliation, with Bill O’Reilly feigning sincerity about Jenner’s gender identity. “From the waist down, he is a he,” said O’Reilly. “I try to be accurate on the Factor.”

“That could change I guess, I cringe at the idea,” chimed in a smirking McGuirk.

The discussion then moved on to lampooning the California university system for its ‘gender identity situation’, giving the impression that students are being forced to fill out this questionnaire.

“I want to give you the six categories the poor college kids going out to school out there in California have to ” said O’Reilly, before reading out the form.

Of course this is utter nonsense. Here’s the actual ‘policy’ re the University of California:

Beginning this fall, the University of California will provide students with the option to voluntarily self-identify their sexual orientation and gender identity on the undergraduate admission application to help the university better understand and meet the diverse needs of its students.

The data will be used to help guide decisions such as allocating resources and developing programs as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to ensure campuses are welcoming and inclusive for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, faculty, and staff. As with other demographic questions on the admission application, these do not affect a student’s eligibility for admission.

So it is in fact a completely voluntary questionnaire designed to help the UC system become a more tolerant, better equipped organization when it comes to dealing with student’s gender identities. Or in the minds of Bill O’Reilly and his beer drinkin’, women lovin’ pals, it is dictatorial attempt to turn the universities into bastions of liberal Nazism.

Why did Bill O’Reilly and his chums have to weigh in on this non-issue, misrepresent it, then nastily target someone like Caitlyn Jenner?

Because that’s what they do.
