Ranting Douchebag Defends Vegas Killers, Says Their Actions Saved Lives

Las Vegas cop killers Jerad and Amanda Miller were big fans of Alex Jones. You can tell because Jerad Miller’s Facebook page contained several references to Jones as well as repostings of InfoWars pieces, he occasionally left comments at InfoWars, and because Jones went way the hell out of his way to distance himself from them as soon as the Millers were named as the shooters. But he wasn’t the only anti-government conspiracy theorist getting in the ear of the Millers — there was also Adam Kokesh.

Kokesh you might remember is the asshole gun activist who was arrested and convicted on weapons charges after he pulled this little stunt in the middle of Washington, DC:

He and Alex Jones are part of a mutual admiration society, Jones has just managed to create a more lucrative brand out of his psychosis while Kokesh is strictly a farm leaguer.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has been keeping tabs on Kokesh for a while now and his name came up in a recent bulletin the group put together on the beliefs that fueled Jerad and Amanda Miller’s actions. This apparently pissed off Kokesh, because he’s now gone on a rant on his internet show, cleverly titled “Adam vs. The Man,” in which he not only rages against the SPLC but also defends the Millers’ murder spree.

From Raw Story:

Kokesh asserted that the slaying of the two officers was not “murder” because police are likely to kill people.

“Let’s say someone is going around stabbing people, like just stabbing people,” he opined. “It’s not murder to kill someone in that situation. And has been pointed out about the Vegas shooting, when you have police officers that are going around and doing violent things all day long, and then they take a break for lunch, well, it doesn’t mean all of the sudden they’re innocent or they’re being peaceful because they’re taking a break from all of their other anti-freedom, rights-violating violence.”

“Think of how many lives might have been saved by this incident. How many people would these cops have killed had they not been killed?” he asked. “We can only hope that some of the officers in America are listening — if you care about your own safety — to understand that you are hurting people, and you can only push them so far before they hit a breaking point.”

There’s no sense in calling out Kokesh’s defense of the Millers for being despicable, because quite frankly that’s exactly what he’s looking for here. If you have any sense of decency, or two brain cells in your head to rub together, you already know he’s a fucking lunatic douchebag. But in addition to the general Matrix of nonsense he’s spinning, there’s one lie right off the bat that should be pointed out, which is that there’s a very good chance that officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo would’ve gone the rest of their careers never firing their guns in the line of duty — which means that they never would’ve killed anybody. An overwhelming number of cops retire never having gotten into a situation that required deadly force. This is a fact.

But beyond that, Kokesh’s notion that murdering two people in cold blood while they ate lunch — followed by a third, concealed carrying “good guy with a gun” — amounts to “not necessarily unjustified violence” is just offensive for a whole host of reasons.

But again, that’s exactly what he’s going for here.
