Since their debut album was released back in 2001, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have been one of my favorite bands. They’ve got the droning psychedelia of the Jesus and Mary Chain run through a filter of straightforward bluesy rock-and-roll. Their stuff is cool, atmospheric and often a little menacing, which is what makes it the perfect music for commercials and movie soundtracks.
You’ve heard these guys a lot — even if you don’t know it.
From their latest record, Specter at the Feast, here’s Hate the Taste.
Chez Pazienza was the beating heart of The Daily Banter, sadly passing away on February 25, 2017. His voice remains ever present at the Banter, and his influence as powerful as ever.
