Glenn Beck Comment Porn: Obamacare Communist Take Over Edition

In this week’s edition of Glenn Beck Comment Porn, we look at The Blaze reader reactions to a ridiculously misleading article on health care for members of congress and their staffers. A bit of background: in the original text of the Affordable Care Act. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) “inserted a provision which said members of Congress and their aides must be covered by plans “created” by the law or “offered through an exchange.”” While this created a big kerfuffle when it appeared the federal government would no longer pay insurance premiums for everyone on the Hill when ‘Obamacare’ kicked in, the Democrats saw this a mile away. They knew Grassley inserted the provision to embarrass them, and deliberately worded the provision so that it was wide open for interpretation. President Obama used the ambiguity to get the Office of Personnel Management to issue a coming ruling that stipulated the government can continue to make contributions to the health care costs of members of Congress and their staff.

Enter The Blaze and their team of honest reporters who then portrayed the move as cronyism and proof that ‘Obamacare’ was a failure. Never mind the fact that Obama tried to get the public the same health care benefits as members of Congress when he set out to reform the US health care system in the first place, knowing full well that a public option would be the most cost effective for everyone. Needless to say the Republicans forced it off the agenda, paving the way for private insurance exchanges that would be slightly better than the current mess, but still far too expensive.

Readers of The Blaze of course had their own special take on the debacle.

THE_WOOFSTER, evidently an avid reader, quoted George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ in response to government privilege:

THE_JERK, apparently unaware that wealth inequality and an economic class system existed before 2008, chimed in with the following:

And REPUBLIC highlighted Obama’s well known ‘free phone’ policy, where liberals (and not conservatives) are entitled to ‘Obummer phones’ (whatever they are):

SECRETAMERICAN deduced that Obama’s free market exchange solution for health care meant he was in fact a Communist:

And FACT_ARE_FUNNY_THINGS oddly announced that ‘The Chinese should be outraged’ (for reasons not immediate clear):

ARMORER proved him/herself to be a bit of a political marketing guru with a catchy phrase for the next Republican nominee:

And finally EVILEYE displayed a mastery of history uncommon for readers of The Blaze, but sadly not spelling:

Until next week folks…..
