Britain Has 225 Nuclear War Heads

The new Conservative/Liberal government has released the figure of Britain’s nuclear warheads. This is a positive step when it comes to openness and accountability in government, but nevertheless slightly shocking given Britain has no regional enemies (or even mildly dangerous regimes threatening them). While many like to hype the threat from Iran, it is worth bearing in mind that the Iranian government has never threatened Britain and doesn’t have any nuclear warheads. Who exactly Britain’s warheads are for is anyone’s guess, and it is about time most of them were scrapped.
