In the scale of last minute blunders, this has to rank as an all time high. An internal Labour rebellion has now scuppered a deal with the Lib Dems and the Conservatives look set to take power in a few days.
Despite being almost ideological identical, Labour Party members have clearly decided that a more representative democracy isn’t their cup of tea and have moved swiftly to destroy a comprehensive deal with the Lib Dems.
So now the U.K will have to endure a series of vicious spending cuts in the middle of a harsh recession and be subjected to the same economic ideology that helped ruin the UK economy. Well done Labour.
