The Guardian charts the surging Lib Dems, now second to the Tories and leaving Labour behind:
It’s hard to say what this means right now, but with a massive boost in voter registration (currently happening on facebook in particular) the race seems wide open. The Tories fear that a successful campaign from the Lib Dems won’t succeed in getting them into power but will merely give Labour an easy victory, so expect so see a huge amount of negative campaigning. Whether Nick Clegg can ride the storm remains to be seen, but he’s not off to a bad start.
