It’s a nice day off for most Americans, but Labor Day weekend has a history worth remembering. Working people fought hard and endured horrific violence to achieve greater working rights, and their struggle has great meaning, especially in today’s economic climate.
Unfortunately, worker’s rights are pretty abysmal compared to other industrialized nations, and Labor Day should be a reminder that the struggle is far from over.
