It will be interesting to see how this is portrayed in the U.S media. Every time Chavez does something in the interest of the people, he’s painted as a dictatorial megalomaniac. I don’t agree with Chavez’s style – I think he does have giant ego and is making some alarming moves to create a personality cult, but he has made a huge change to the lives of the poor in his country. Why we seem to find that so offensive is beyond me.
