This could be good news if Obama gets his way. He is an incredibly popular President (for now, at least), and there seems to be no reason that he shouldn’t get his way if he puts his foot down. The Republican party are clearly not serious about fixing the economy, so should now be ignored unless they accept some basic principles, i.e: Tax cuts don’t work by themselves, and no one else is going to create any jobs other than the government.
