Rand Paul Is a Russian Stooge Because Russia Is the Libertarian Wet Dream Come True

One of the more "mysterious" reversals in Washington since the illegitimate election of Donald Trump has been Rand Paul from loud critic of Trump to sycophantic ass-kisser.

Coming off his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Trump has just a handful of defenders back home, even within his own party. Of those defenders, no one has been more vocal — and seemingly more out of the blue — than Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

Paul has given nearly a dozen interviews over the past several days championing Trump's decision to meet one-on-one with Putin. He has maintained his support for that decision even as Trump appeared to defer to Putin over his own intelligence agencies on whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election.

Since then, Paul has become the personal messenger for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, delivering orders for Trump to strip John Brennan of his security clearance. After visiting Russia, Paul came back with more orders: Lift the sanctions on Russian lawmakers that have been banned from the United States.

People have been wondering what Putin has on Paul. Was his email hacked? Do they have a Rand Paul pee-pee tape? How did this fierce critic of Trump become a Trump stooge?

I submit that it has nothing to do with Trump but rather everything to do with Rand Paul being that most noxious of political animals: A Libertarian.

Libertarians say they want maximum freedom for everyone but that's a lie. What libertarians actually want is a society where the ultrawealthy control everything; the money, the power, the government. As a happy byproduct, this "freedom" just happens to also place white heterosexual men (which libertarians overwhelmingly are) at the apex of society with women, minorities, and everyone else that the right despises reduced to vassals to the ruling class.

In other words, libertarians want an oligarchy with the presumption that they'll be one of the oligarchs, or at least one of those elites chosen to enforce their will.

As far as Rand Paul is concerned, Russia is a libertarian paradise. Sure, it's an oppressive police state but that's only for the little people. The rich live exactly how libertarians dream life should be: Completely free from all legal, ethical, and moral constraints.

Rand Paul's father, Ron Paul, a white nationalist going back decades, has been a Russian cheerleader for years so it clearly runs in the family. My guess is that once Rand Paul understood that Trump was working directly for Russia, he jumped on board the Trump Moscow Train to get in good with the people actually running America. As far as Paul is concerned, Russia didn't attack the United States, it helped us.

So, no, it's not really a mystery why Rand Paul is suddenly Trump's favorite Republican Senator. There's no need for Russia to have any blackmail material on him. Rand Paul's ideology is about greed and racism and authoritarianism masquerading as "freedom." His vision for America's future looks very much like Russia today. Why wouldn't he help the people trying to bring that glorious vision to pass? If Russia could get Donald Trump elected, they could get anyone elected. Maybe even someone who fully believes in their worldview instead of an unstable egomaniac only interested in their own self-aggrandizement like Donald Trump.

The best kind of puppet is a willing puppet who is just smart and greedy enough to get the job done but not smart enough to have ideas of their own. Rand Paul fits the bill perfectly.
