Today's bombshell report that Steve Bannon believes Donald Trump Jr. is guilty of collusion with the Russian government was understandably plastered over every news site on the internet. Hell, even Breitbart.com featured it prominently on the front page (albeit not as headline). Equally as explosive was president Trump's vicious response to Bannon's comments, a stunning development in their relationship that now appears to be completely broken. So what is Fox News reporting on today?
The Atlantic's National Correspondent James Fallows tweeted this about the prime time news slot on Trump's favorite channel:
Sean Hannity also had his finger tightly on the pulse, tweeting about breaking news stories like Green Day's disdain for Donald Trump and something about Joy Behar:
One of the funniest things about Trump and Bannon's insane break up is watching how the right wing propaganda machine attempts to report on it. What does Breitbart do now that their tribal leader has essentially admitted Trump is guilty of colluding with Russia and their entire movement was basically for nothing? How does Fox News report on the truly insane spat between two iconic figures in right wing fantasy world? Do they side with the sizable Alt Right community that has become a large part of its audience, or stick with the madman president? It's an un-winnable conundrum that will only make for highly satisfying viewing for the rest of the country. Grab the popcorn because this is only going to get more entertaining.
