Keith Olbermann Has a Sobering Message For 3rd Party Voters: "Assume it Will Be The Last Vote You Get to Cast"

He is not trying to sell you Hillary Clinton. His generation failed: don't let yours.

Keith Olbermann has been waging a one man, intense and fact driven war against the possibility that this country could see an unqualified, terrifyingly juvenile man win the presidency. In his latest withering assault, he has a message for the possible 8 percent of America who are Jill Stein (Green) and Gary Johnson (Libertarian) voters. This election is simply too important to cast a protest vote:

[E]specially if you are a millennial, give an old liberal five minutes to try to explain to you why you should not [vote third party.] I'm not going to try to sell you on Hillary Clinton. I'm not going to invoke Ralph Nader and 2000. I am NOT going to wax nostalgic about nearly voting third party in 1980. I'm not going to linger on how I want three or four major parties.

What I am going to tell you is that all of these points, valid, invalid, or somewhere in between cannot be the priority this election. Not my priority and not yours, especially not when your vote may decide whether it is Clinton or Trump who becomes president.

This is really simple, if you vote for Gary Johnson or you vote for Jill Stein you need to assume that it will be the last presidential vote you get to cast

He is right, but the reasons why he is right are the sobering, chilling facts of what could come to pass with a Trump win. Unlike a Bush win, we aren't looking at an oil puppet creating a climate that raises gas prices above $4 dollars a gallon. Unlike a Romney win, we aren't looking at poor tax laws and an out of touch businessman costing us jobs and healthcare.

A Trump win could potentially be catastrophic to America -- and in a very real and tangible way. These are just a few of the policies and actions that he has directly stated he will pursue:

Making it easier to sue the press, directly depressing the 1st Amendment.Jailing his political opponent. Rounding up and deporting 11 million people, who have been paying taxes.Thinly veiled "ideological" religious tests for entry into our country. A giant wall that Mexico will not pay for and could cost over a trillion dollars. Disastrous trade and economic policies.

And remember when he asked a foreign policy advisor, "if we have nukes, why can't we use them?". Continued Olbermann:

The man is a bigot has shown no commitment to free elections in this country. He is a bully with severe anger management problems, combined with a desire to have and use nuclear weapons and he's running not for president but for dictator.

If you live in a swing state, this information is extremely important to consider. And the definition of a "swing state" isn't what it used to be. Politico listed these states as most likely to be contested this year: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. However, recent polls have caused Texas to become a swing state. Yes, Texas. Furthermore, also shows that in recent polling we have to consider Arizona, Georgia, and Maine's 2nd Congressional District as "swing states" too. Continued Olbermann:

In every swing state of vote for Johnson or Stein is one less for Hillary Clinton. And her victory over Donald Trump, as big a victory by as large and indisputable margin as possible, is vital to your safety. It is necessary to make sure the country still exists four years from now, essential to make sure your right to vote still exists.

Please, listen to what Olbermann has to say whether you live in a swing state or not. An absolute, bombastically loud rejection of Donald Trump is needed. It sends a message that needs to be heard more than your protest vote.

Here is his full argument. Please, pass it on:
