As promised the last time ISIS posted a video of the beheading of a captive, British aid worker David Haines, the group has reportedly gone ahead with the execution of Alan Henning, also an aid worker from Great Britain. Henning is a 47-year-old taxi driver from Eccles, Henning who had traveled to Syria to be part of an aid convoy and was kidnapped in December of last year.

Henning makes the fourth Westerner murdered by ISIS in this gruesome fashion, after Haines and American journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley. Like the videos that came before, this one shows a masked executioner with a hunting knife standing beside an orange-clad captive who's been forced to kneel. As usual, the killer delivers a message to the United States about the ongoing campaign against ISIS. "Obama, you have started your aerial bombardment of Shams (Syria), which keeps on striking our people, so it is only right that we continue to strike the neck of your people," the militant says.

As before, this new video features a "preview" of the next beheading. At the end of the clip, the masked man stands next to a kneeling Peter Kassig, an ex-U.S. Army Ranger who was profiled by CNN back in 2012 for his efforts working in a hospital in Lebanon treating wounded Syrians.
