The simultaneously funniest and saddest thing about Patton Oswalt's #SalonArticles trending topic game over the weekend, which sought to create the most ridiculous liberal outrage porn headline in the name of skewering Salon, is that in the end Salon will always show up everybody. That's the joke: Nobody can parody Salon better than Salon can parody itself.Salon, I salute you.

So let's talk about that scene, from Sunday night. A lot of people found it shocking. But at this point how is that even possible on this show?
Unless this person had a history of screwing up, it's impossible not to see him or her as a hapless victim. It's like the movie scene where a bunch of people in a group make a rude crack, each one worse than the last, and it finally gets around to the one guy who says something that draws a, "Hey! Not cool!" from everybody else.
