An Astonishing Event

As I sit in my living room watching the inauguration of Barack Obama, I am struck by the enormous magnitude of the event - there are literally billions of people around the world overjoyed at the election of a liberal African American to the Presidency of the United States. Washington is absolutely packed with people, all there to witness history in the making. A huge proportion of the crowd is African American, and one can only imagine how incredible a day this must be.
