It is stunning to realize that the Christian evangelicals who vote for people like George Bush and John McCain have no idea how barbaric their policies are.
In a recent report by the government, child hunger rose by 50% in 2007. An estimated 700,000 children went hungry, and many millions suffered from food insecurity. This is the tragic legacy conservative economics has left the country, purportedly by Christians.
Celebrating greed, condoning corruption and ignoring the poor are not Christian traits, and it is about time people started recognizing this.
