Hispanic Vote Slip Sliding Away

In 2004, Hispanic voters went 55-44 (I've been informed the correct number is 40%) for John Kerry. Apparently unsatisfied with this historically good performance among this growing segment of voters, the Republicans decided to become the party of attacking hispanics, of trumping up as much noise as possible about a hispanic invasion that would threaten the lives of white people. That strategy is going to pay dividends. For Democrats. Barack Obama currently leads John McCain 62-29 among Hispanic voters.

And in a related note from Planet Duh, Sen. Obama leads among black voters 90-4. That 4% will come around.
