Labor's Wal-Mart Campaign Is Working

The work of groups like Wake Up Walmart has been derided by some, implying that in the battle between workers and a megacorp, the American people would side blindly with the megacorp. It isn't a campaign to destroy Walmart, but to make the largest retailer act like a responsible member of the business community. The conservative elites who don't understand real capitalism and wish to drive the costs of labor down to nothing scoff, but the campaign is having an effect. Walmart is now devoting major money to a PR campaign, this is a shift from their previous work under the radar with mostly conservative operatives (including Redstate's Mike Krempasky) to an above-board campaign that seems to be a reaction to a horrible holiday season in Bentonville.
