Bernie didn't denounce the guy until the next morning, and here's why that's a problem.

If you've been seeing the hashtag #DemocraticWhores on Twitter all day, you can thank this guy, Dr. Paul Song, who said this at Bernie Sanders' rally in Washington Square Wednesday (transcript here):

Song apologized on Twitter last night, but also tried to sell the horseshit that he wasn't talking about Hillary, even though he mentioned her by name three times, and his description of "Democratic whores" was lifted verbatim from a Sanders fundraising memo about Hillary.

Bernie Sanders took the stage several speakers later, as night fell, and when he did, he made sure to thank Dr. Song by name for the "wonderful introduction":

Now, I know what you're thinking, maybe Bernie hadn't heard the remarks and didn't know about them. That's the story, as supported by this clip of Jane Sanders at about 8 this morning claiming she's hearing about it for the first time, calling it a "a strange choice of words," and saying it's essentially the same thing as that time Hillary didn't call Bernie "unqualified." You tell me if she looks like she's just hearing this for the first time:

Minutes later, Bernie tweeted this blistering denunciation:

Now, let's give Jane Sanders the benefit of the doubt, just for the sake of argument only, and forget the sick, dishonest deflection, and credit Bernie for that weak-ass denunciation.

What we are expected to believe is that Dr. Song called Hillary a whore, and not one of Sanders' staffers or supporters thought it was worth mentioning to him, and after Song's bullshit apology was retweeted a zillion times Wednesday night, and also tweeted at Bernie Sanders, still nobody thought it was worth mentioning, because apparently, in BernieLand, calling Hillary Clinton a "whore" at a rally is just called "Wednesday."

That's a problem.
