The Washington Post’s First, Disgusting, Post-Sale Front Page
Here is the first Washington Post front page after its sale to Jeff Bezos.
It is terrible, and everything wrong with the media today. This is part of the attitude that has led the Post to be sold for a relatively cheap price, same for the Boston Globe and Newsweek.
I’m not arguing that the paper’s sale shouldn’t be front page or even above the fold — but it is literally the only story on the entire front page. I don’t care if we’re in the summer doldrums, the sale of the Washington Post is not the only front page story right now.
But in the world of the media, its always all about the media and everything else is secondary to the media’s stories about the media. On and on and on. Yuck.
UPDATE: The full version of the page has some other stories. But 70% of the front page is still the Post with its head up the Post’s butt.
