Glenn Greenwald: Always right. At least in his mind

Glenn Greenwald: Very serious

While Glenn Greenwald’s relentless lecturing of anyone who fails to see the world through his civil-libertarian-fundamentalist perspective is irritating beyond belief, his astonishing inability to detect humor takes his annoyingness to a completely new level. Check out this brilliant exchange in the commenting section of this latest blog post in the Guardian titled “Zero Dark Thirty, the CIA and film critics have a very bad evening“.

No doubt in the midst of uncovering more intellectual dishonesty and hypocrisy in the progressive media, Greenwald took time out to respond to the unsubstantiated and baseless attack on his moral integrity:

Another impertinent commenter, no doubt an Obama acolyte and imperial apologist sought to further tarnish Greenwald’s spotless record, saying:

And Greenwald’s priceless response:

That’s definitely one way of responding to jokes about your lack of humor – incomprehensible double negatives about existent jokes that are not non existent depending on your ability to detect and process something you think someone is writing without humor….

In Greenwaldian speak, this basically means, “sometimes people write funny shit, but I don’t get it”.

Oh, and Glenn, if you’re reading this, don’t post any reviews on ‘Lincoln’ and give the plot away. Everyone likes a surprise ending…

I’m pretty sure he is McConnell’s illegitimate son. The chins are duplicates. Turtle power.

“In Greenwaldian speak, this basically means, “sometimes people write funny shit, but I don’t get it”.”

That’s not really what he said at all. He said “Sometimes people write humorous things, and other people don’t get them. In this case, that happened to me, but people also often don’t get the jokes that I make.”

Glenn Greenwald? I thought that was a picture of Adam Sandler.

Trying to get a laugh out of Glenn Greenwald is like trying to fraternally bond with Raymond Babbitt by giving him a great big bear hug.

What an earth-shattering piece of analysis. I’ll never look at Glenn Greenwald’s comments section the same way again.

Don’t mean to pull a Greenwald here, but is this supposed to be a joke?

Check out the big brain on Glennnnn! /Jules Winfield’d

I’m probably among the few, but I find Glenn’s pretentious asshole humorless singlehandedly-saving-the-world schtick oddly endearing. Keep on keeping on, big fella.

WHAT? Lincoln gets shot & killed?

    You’ve blown it for us.

See, he got the joke all along, he just pretended not to. Then he made funny jokes of his own that were just so SOPHISTICATED we didn’t understand he was being funny.
    Mmm-hmmm.

This is fine work, Ben. Thank you.
