The_Road_movie_posterJust for fun, I did a quick poll amongst my friends on facebook to see what they thought the most depressing movies of all time were. Personally, I think ‘The Road’ tops them all, but I got some great answers and thought I’d put them out on The Daily Banter to see what our readers thought as well. We’ll publish the top 10 tomorrow!

    Oh good lord!

Did you ever see that movie “men don’t leave” w/Jessica Lange?
If you haven’t slit your wrists by the time closing credits come on screen then you’re already on prosac!

I suggest Roman Polanski’s “Macbeth”. Shakespeare, blood & gore.
Schindler’s List was way over long. How many times do you need to see the Nazis kill somebody before you get the idea that thye’re the bad guys?

Requiem for a Dream… this isn’t up for debate.

Hahaha! I’ve never actually seen it. Not going to now though!

It’s an excellent movie in every respect, the acting and cinematography in particular (is it possible to talk about cinematography and not sound like a douche?), but yeah, I wanted to jump out a window when I watched it.

Can you please give a quick synopsis (no spoilers)

I feel like I’ve seen this or heard of it before, but can’t quite remember

          thanks!
