The Daily Banter Headline Grab. From TPM:

There’s no point in pursuing universal background checks for firearms purchases, National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre plans to tell the Senate tomorrow, because bad guys will get guns anway.

LaPierre is among those scheduled to tesify at the Senate Judiciary Committee’s gun violence hearing Wednesday. The NRA sent out his testimony Tuesday. LaPierre once again plans to tout the NRA’s call for armed guards in every school as well as the group’s call for loosen privacy laws the group says keep mental health records from being included in the extisting background check system. But when it comes to expanding background checks to cover all firearms transactions, LaPierre will tell the Senate there’s little point.

“When it comes to the issue of background checks, let’s be honest – background checks will never be ‘universal’ – because criminals will never submit to them,” LaPierre’s testimony reads.

As such, we should also repeal all laws against theft, as criminals still steal things. We need to get rid of the laws against drunk driving, because those laws are not 100% successful either. Murder, still happening despite the many laws against it so it’s not working.
    Wayne’s world this is not.
Someone please plug up the runny hole under this dumbasses nose.
Gun control is the only legal issue where if it’s not 100% effective, it’s called an utter failure and should be over-turned.
I’ll tell you what’s pointless; the NRA (the most useless organization in America today) and Lil’ Lord LaPierre
