Well, he certainly seems to think so. But again, he isn't committed to a public insurance option, stating "I see nothing wrong with having [a] public option as one choice."

Again, and this does bear repeating, without a public option, health reform doesn't really exist. Giving money to criminal insurance companies, even if they are regulated, is still giving money to criminal insurance companies. Americans should have the right to buy into a not for profit, public scheme that doesn't pay for its directors to fly around the world visiting their 5th or 6th vacation homes.
