Matt Taibbi's recent article in Rolling Stone Magazine on Goldman Sachs has created quite a storm (no internet version as yet). Taibbi has apparently been receiving mail suggesting he has taken a biased view of the companies role in the financial meltdown, and has unfairly accused Sachs of bearing substantial responsibility for the mess.
Taibbi's reporting of the financial meltdown has been second to none. While he is at his best lampooning politicians and corporate media types, his nuanced reporting on the financial industry has carved him a new niche. He explains the intricate dealings on Wall St in clear english, and has done a remarkable amount of research to substantiate his claims. In other words, he has done real journalism.
Here he is defending his record, and hilariously demolishing the various accusations in style.
