The congress is losing support.

Just 39 percent said they approve of the job Congress is doing, down from 44 percent in April, when the new Congress was about 100 days into its term. More significant, approval of congressional Democrats dropped 10 percentage points over that same period, from 54 percent to 44 percent.

Clearly the far-left Democratic congress is turning off millions of voters as it pursues an agenda that's a sop to the pro-hate secular progressive hordes, right?

No.

Much of that drop was fueled by lower approval ratings of the Democrats
in Congress among strong opponents of the war, independents and liberal
Democrats. While independents were evenly split on the Democrats in
Congress in April (49 percent approved, 48 percent disapproved), now 37
percent said they approved, 54 percent disapproved. And among liberal
Democrats, approval of congressional Democrats dropped 18 points.

So, the Democrats are losing footing because they're following in the footsteps of the president (who has 35% in this poll, unchanged from before and just slightly higher than he measures in other polls) and not... wait for it... listening to the people.

There's no uptick in Republican approval at the presidential or congressional level, but Democrats are losing because they won't effing listen. Imagine that. Get a brain, morans.

And in a related note (brainless "morans"), dissatisfaction with the war in Iraq and pessimism into the failing "surge" strategy continues to grow. Yet, I'm almost sure every Republican in the debate tomorrow night will endorse the "stay the course" strategy while being real sure that the most important issues in 2008 will be - snicker - congressional earmarks, immigration and abortion.

The congressional Democrats have caught a severe case of the stupids, but they're no match for the 2008 Republican presidential field who seems - thankfully - dead set on ensuring we get a Democratic president thanks to their stunning myopia and belief in their own noise machine.

Thanks guys.
