Talking about MSNBC punching at Fox, National Review's Stephen Spruiell asks: "is a strategy of frequently and publicly attacking a rival network's star anchor unprecedented in television news". This is a funny question for a purported media watcher to ask. When Fox's Bill O'Reilly was number two to CNN's Larry King, O'Reilly regularly "punched up" at the competition until they eventually overtook him. Anyone who's paid any attention to cable news over the last 10 years knows this. But Spruiell apparently doesn't.
